A brief overview of FSGFana Stone and Recycling

Environmentally friendly landfill and stone crushing works

FSG was established in 1954 as a municipal company, owned by Fana Kommune. Following the municipal merger in 1972, the business was incorporated as a separate department within Bergen Kommune.

By the end of 1998, after a process involving significant organisational and structural changes, the business changed its name to Fana Stein & Gjenvinning AS, and was converted into a limited company in 2001 with private owners.

Information

We currently have the following ownership structure in a joint company: FSG Holding AS.

• Ragn Sells AS 50%
• Hellik Teigen AS 50%

The operations at Stendafjellet are divided into three main parts: extraction/crushing, reuse, and landfill for contaminated materials.

The quarry/crushing plant is involved in breaking rock and producing crushed aggregates underground. In addition to the production of crushed stone, natural products such as casting sand and bark are also sold. The products are mainly delivered for public and private purposes in the Bergen region.

The washing plant washes and sorts contaminated material so that it can be reused. Stone from 0 to 90 mm is turned into new recycled products that are environmentally friendly and sustainable.

The landfill section's business concept is to utilise the rock caverns as landfill for contaminated materials after rock has been blasted out and transported to crushing plants. Our objective is to receive contaminated materials for safe treatment and disposal, in order to prevent this type of material from polluting the environment.

Our vision is to have the country's best solution for contaminated mass. We have a concession to receive contaminated soil and loose materials from class 1 to class 5.

Our history in brief:

We are focusing onSustainability

We sort most things!

Recycling and reuse are our focus. Asphalt, concrete, brick, and soil and stone materials are recovered into new products.
