Briefly about FSGFana Stone and Recycling
ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY LANDFILL AND STONE CRUSHING PLANT
FSG was established in 1954 and was then a municipal company, owned by Fana Municipality. In connection with the municipal merger in 1972, the business was incorporated as a separate department within Bergen Municipality.
At the end of 1998, following a process involving significant organisational and structural changes, the business changed its name to Fana Stein & Gjenvinning AS, and was converted into a limited company in 2001 with private owners.
Information
We currently have the following ownership structure in a joint venture company: FSG Holding AS.
• Ragn Sells AS 50%
• Hellik Teigen AS 50%
The operations in Stendafjellet are divided into three main parts: stone extraction/crushing plant, recycling and landfill for contaminated soil.
The quarry/crushing plant engages in underground rock excavation and the production of crushed aggregates. In addition to producing crushed stone, the natural products casting sand and bark are also sold. The products are mainly supplied for public and private purposes in the Bergen region.
The processing plant washes and sorts contaminated material so that it can be reused. Stone ranging in size from 0 to 90 mm is turned into new recycled products that are environmentally friendly and sustainable.
The landfill division's business concept is to utilise the mountain halls as a landfill for contaminated material after rock has been blasted out and transported to a crushing plant. Our objective is to receive contaminated material for proper treatment and disposal, in order to prevent this type of material from polluting the environment.
Our vision is to have the country's best solution for contaminated material. We are licensed to receive contaminated soil and loose deposits from class 1 up to and including class 5.
